WHIRL - Part 4 (Mel Cowan)

INT. COUCH FORT - NIGHT

Echo is taking the stickers off a Rubik’s cube and placing all the colors next to each other. Gustav climbs into the fort, dressed like a Native American. He sits and watches her for a moment.

GUSTAV: Why?
ECHO: I just wanted to make sense of something. Where’s your tomahawk?
GUSTAV: I gave it to a kid outside.
ECHO: Do you ever wonder what sound a quasar makes?

This upsets Gustav.

GUSTAV: I don’t want to fight.
ECHO: Did you fill the kiddie pool?
GUSTAV: No.

Echo sighs.

ECHO: The carp isn’t going to live.
GUSTAV: I need some air.

He doesn’t move. Echo stares at her complete Rubik’s cube, looking for answers.
